IQVIA, a global leader in clinical research and healthcare intelligence, is hiring a Safety Associate Trainee to join their Pharmacovigilance team in Kolkata, India. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for life science graduates passionate about drug safety and regulatory compliance.
Role Summary
As a Safety Associate Trainee, you will be trained to review, assess, and process Drug Safety data and information received from various sources. You will ensure all reports are processed and distributed according to applicable regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and internal guidelines, all under the guidance of senior operational team members.

Core Responsibilities (What You’ll Learn)
- Pharmacovigilance Activities: Perform hands-on PV tasks, including collecting and tracking incoming Adverse Events (AE) and endpoint information.
- Data Processing: Determine the status of events, perform database entry, code AEs and Products, and write case narratives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Process all Safety data in strict adherence to global regulations, guidelines, and project requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Meet expected productivity and quality standards, and identify/report any quality problems to a mentor.
- Team Contribution: Attend project team meetings, provide feedback, and maintain 100% compliance with all people practices and processes.
- Work Environment: Flexibility to operate in shifts is required for this role.

- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or healthcare discipline or allied life sciences.
- Knowledge: Good understanding of medical terminology.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent attention to detail and accuracy, and strong time management skills.
- Technical: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
- Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, flexible, and an eager team player with an aptitude to learn new skills across Safety service lines.
