MODIJIdeferNEETUG Trends on Twitter – Students Demand NEET 2022 Postponement

NEET UG 2022 is scheduled to be held on July 17, 2022, whereas the CBSE Board exam will end on June 15, 2022. Due to the short gap before the NEET UG preparation, the students started a campaign “#MODIJIdeferNEETUG” on Twitter and asked for exam postponement.

MODIJIdeferNEETUG: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2022 is scheduled to be held on July 17, 2022. The students are not satisfied with the exam schedule since there will be a short gap between the CBSE board exam and the medical entrance test. The CBSE Board exam will end on June 15, 2022. Hence, the students again started to roll their voices and started a campaign on Twitter, #MODIJIdeferNEETUG. On the favour of NEET UG 2022 postponement, #MODIJIdeferNEETUG is trending on Twitter. Already 200K+ Tweets have been made.

Before that the students run a campaign with the hashtag of #NTAdeferNEETUG on June 2, 2022 for the exam postponement. The students are continuously asking for exam postponement by four to six weeks or till late August or early September. The students also added that there will be a clash of NEET UG 2022 exam with CUET TEST. CUET exam will be scheduled tentatively in July first and second week. Hence, the candidates, who applied for both the NEET and CUET exam, will get a few days to prepare for the medical entrance test. It will create additional pressure on the students.

The students also brought a notice to the authorities that last year the NEET UG exam commenced on September 12, 2021. Then what is the point of scheduling the NEET UG 2022 exam on July 17, 2022. Why did the authorities take such a decision in an irresponsible way?

Some of the students pointed out that when it was the matter of JEE Main 2022 exam, NTA had postponed it without any hesitation, then why do the authorities bias in postponing the NEET UG exam 2022? They are asking for equality as well as justice.

Approximately 10,000 MBBS students wrote to the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the postponement of NEET UG 2022 exam. Some of the students started to beg with their folding hands to grant some more time for exam preparation, so that they could fulfill their dreams. In addition, the parents of the students also demanded for exam postponement for the sake of their children’s career.

If the authorities will not take any steps in favour of NEET UG postponement, then multiple campaigns will be started on Twitter in coming days.
