CBSE 1st term exam: CBSE first term exam will be conducted on the basis of boards

CBSE 1st term exam: The first term examinations of CBSE will be conducted on the lines of the board. CBSE will soon release the dates for the main subjects exams to be held in the last week of November and first week of December.

Along with self-centers for the examination, preparations are being made to set up centers in other schools as well. Along with bringing the session back on track with the academic calendar, CBSE is making changes in the syllabus and examination methods as per the provisions of the new education policy.

The first and second term examinations are to be conducted by dividing the academic calendar into two parts like the semester system. The innovation in this year’s examinations is that instead of long answer questions, multiple choice questions will be asked.

This preparation is being done keeping in mind the competitive examinations to be held after the board. In the first term examinations, the paper will be of one and a half hours i.e. 90 minutes. Along with this, 20 minutes reading time will also be given to the students.

On the lines of board exams, this time centers for first term examinations can also be made in other schools. The intention behind this is to bring the academic calendar back on track. Classes could not be conducted in schools during that period due to self-centre examinations.

During the first term examination, other classes can be conducted in one part of the school. Dr. Gurmeet Kaur, Varanasi Coordinator of CBSE and Principal of Sunbeam School Bhagwanpur told that the examinations will start in the last week of November.
